A survey put out by Columbia University suggests that two-thirds of all families aren’t prepared for a disaster.

5) Cash

Our final piece of advice is a bit unconventional. However, it makes sense upon reflection. If things get hairy, there won’t be any time to head to your nearest ATM and take out money.
